Research strategy
Counterpart is seeking to strengthen the evidence base on the effectiveness of one-on-one peer support programs for women with a breast or gynaecological cancer. In order to achieve this, Counterpart is looking to partner with researchers who are willing to conduct research on the effectiveness of one-on-one peer support programs for women with cancer, using Counterpart's unique model.
Areas of Research
- determining the effectiveness of peer support by measuring reductions in isolation, increases in hope, sense of control and confidence, and
- estimating the cost-effectiveness of peer support programs.
