Bras and breast forms

Location:  Webinar

After breast surgery women need bras, and for some, a breast form (prosthesis), that are comfortable and promote confidence in their appearance. Professional fitters offer a service that helps women find bras and breast forms to suit each person’s unique needs.

Learn about all the different options including wire free & front fastening bras, breast forms & partial shapers, pocketed mastectomy bras, lymphoedema bras, lingerie, and swimwear. Our presenter, Genevieve, will also talk about accessing the Medicare rebate for prostheses.

Genevieve Gort from Breast Care Victoria is a specialist breast care/surgical garment fitter. She is also a registered nurse with 30 years of experience.

Women talk about wearing a breast form  – After Genevieve’s session you can watch a video of a recorded conversation between three Counterpart peer support volunteers. They are talking about their decision-making process and their practical experience with wearing breast forms.
