Changes that can come with cancer treatment can challenge our physical and mental wellbeing. These changes include body image and weight; stress, anxiety and depression; short- and long-term side effects like fatigue and lymphoedema. All of these and more can have a negative impact on our quality of life.

Come along to our Cancer and Wellbeing Day to:

– learn more about ways that may help improve your wellbeing
– meet up with other women who have experienced a gynaecological cancer
– try activities like yoga, qi gong, meditation, Feldenkrais and exercise with the help of experienced practitioners
– enjoy a light vegetarian lunch.

Sessions will include:

Fear of Recurrence with Jo Power, Consultant Psychiatrist – Mercy Health
Survivors teaching students with Jane Power
Wellbeing and cancer with Sian Cole, Health Psychologist – Austin Health
Exercise & Cancer with Kelly Spence from EX-MED, exercise medicine program for people with cancer
Your choice of yoga with Swami Kurananda or creative arts with Sandy Buchanan

It is always important to speak with your medical team about the therapies and activities you are using.

Booking is essential.
